THE POWER OF GOD "God has given us power. He said, 'You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you.' The Bible says in Acts 1:8 that God has given us power. Power is the ability to do work. God has given us power to do work, to perform miracles, and to accomplish tasks. When the Lord gave Moses power to set the children of Israel free from Egypt, the Lord gave Moses authority. And when Moses stood before the Red Sea and cried out to God, God said, 'Why are you crying out to me? I've given you the ability. Tell the children of Israel to move forward. Stretch forth your hand and divide the sea.' We all know that it was God who divided the Red Sea, but it was through a man, Moses. So, Moses was using the power of God to divide the Red Sea.
